This Large Kew Long Tom is a hand crafted terracotta pot which has been glazed and bears the seal of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Originally intended for the growing of tomatoes and sometimes referred to as a 'waisted' pot, these pots are ideal for plants which like a long root run. Pretty and practical enough however for any use, from a fruit bearing plant to a decorative flower. Finished in a gorgeous heritage colour with a crackle glaze and a contrasting terracotta lip and base. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, although we would also advise bringing indoors during frosty periods. Also available in Ivory or Chartwell Green and Medium and Small sizes. Although a drainage hole is not present in this particular item it is possible to drill one. Read our 'How To' blog post to learn how to effectively drill a hole yourself. (Nb: Drilling a hole in this product is at your own risk). http://www.theorchardhomeandgifts.com/news/drill-holes-terracotta-pots-planters/67
