Dunes is the sister collection to our most popular collection Shoreditch collection. Whereas Shoreditch epitomizes urban chic, Dunes is very much coastal chic.
The timber in the Dunes collection is filled with vibrant colour and rustic character, provoking images of a beach or port town. Think charming old fishing boats and colourful houses wrapped around a harbour looking out to sea.
Importantly, this collection is environmentally friendly; much of the timber on each piece is reclaimed. The reclaimed wood is salvaged from places such as Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan Southern India, with some of the wood aged between 50 and 150 years old. Each piece is assembled by skilled craftsmen who create this charm filled furniture collection. As each piece in the range is hand made using a unique blend of timbers, every item is truly a one off.
The solid, characterful, timber is offset by sturdy iron legs and handles (were applicable) which add further detail to each piece. The reclaimed wood is finished with a resilient satin lacquer which is hardwearing but also emphasizes the characteristics of the wood.
Most pieces are shipped fully assembled. Some items with legs may be shipped with them detached for safety in transit, all instructions and tools required to attach legs are included. The build quality on the Dunes range is excellent with each piece designed to last another lifetime after its former life!
